Dr Eric Chan Chun Ming PhD, MEd, BSc
Dr Eric Chan is a mathematics educator and an author of mathematics books. He currently lectures on primary mathematics in both pre-service and in-service programmes at
the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore. Prior to this, he spent more than 10
years teaching primary school mathematics and also served as a Head of Department (Mathematics). He enjoys writing books on mathematics for the primary school level. His published books include Overcoming Learning Difficulties in Primary Mathematics, Assessment for Learning: Strategies to Enhance Primary Mathematics Learning, 101 Math Triggers, 101 More Math Triggers, Encounters with Problem Solving, Teacher’s Notes – Techniques in Solving Higher-order Thinking Word Problems, 5 Maths Stories and 5 More Maths Stories.
Daniel William Cole MICD, BSc, PGDE
Daniel Cole is an author of several successful series of primary textbooks in Southeast Asia. His books have been approved by the respective authorities in different countries and are currently being used throughout Southeast Asia. He has extensive experience in primary education and apart from writing textbooks, he has also designed and programmed educational media and software.

Professor Berinderjeet Kaur PhD, MEd, Grad Dip Ed, BSc, Cert TESL
Berinderjeet Kaur is a professor of Mathematics & Mathematics Education (MME) at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore. At NIE, she is actively involved in the education of both pre-service and in-service teachers. Her primary research interests are in the area
of classroom pedagogy of mathematics teachers and comparative studies in mathematics education. Furthermore, she has been involved in numerous international studies of mathematics education. Her publications appear in both national and international journals and books. She is also actively involved in the professional development of mathematics teachers in Singapore.
Dr Joseph Yeo Kai Kow PhD, MEd, BSc, Dip Ed
Dr Joseph Yeo Kai Kow is a faculty member in the Mathematics & Mathematics Education Academic Group at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore. As a teacher educator, he is involved in training pre-service and in-service mathematics teachers at the primary and secondary levels. His research interests include mathematical problem solving in the primary and secondary levels, mathematics pedagogical content knowledge of teachers, mathematics teaching in primary schools and mathematics anxiety. He has also conducted numerous professional developmental courses for teachers in Singapore.
